Endangered Species Observers and Marine Mammal Observers
(ESO's and MMO's)

 

ROGERS ENVIRONMENTAL & SAFETY SERVICES, INC. (R.E.S.S.) has a team of
qualified biologists to serve as Endangered Species Observers for land and marine projects. 

Our consultants' credentials include the following:
  • Undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology and environmental sciences
  • Unconditional Approval by the National Marine Fisheries Service
  • Certification as Trawling Supervisor by the National Marine Fisheries Service
  • Trained Protected Species Observers - in accordance with the Minerals Management Service NTL 2004-G01
  • Training through the Joint Nature Conservation Committee in the United Kingdom
  • Experience with projects for the United States Army Corps of Engineers
  • Experience serving on the Sperm Whale Seismic Study in the Gulf of Mexico
Projects have included:
  • Serving as Protected Species Observers on seismic surveys in the Gulf of Mexico
  • Serving as an Endangered Species Observers on federal state and private dredging projects
  • Serving as a Trawling supervisor collecting, tagging and releasing threatened and endangered sea turtles
  • Conducting research in the East Tropical Pacific (California to Costa Rica)
  • Serving as Certified Shellfish Observer in the North Pacific / Bering Sea
